Two and a half weeks after the fire ripped through we still have to be vigilant.

We do regular checks.

Found this little beauty this afternoon happily burning away.

It was around one hundred metres from our house.

Tree roots can slowly smoulder for weeks then the right conditions will ignite them.

I have walked past this fallen burnt tree many times without a sign.
